Well Well,  the long awaited Bio of Mr. DJ electro.

It all started the day my Mom and Dad gave me my first Boom Box... I was in heaven. I listen to the radio all day. I didn't have money to buy cassettes, so I would ask my parents for money, but they never had any. One day a ship was sailing through our backyard (This was in Panama). The ship was from the TDK Company, makers of the known TDK Cassettes.

To make a long story short, for some reason the ship sank, and to my surprise all the cassettes came afloat. And yes.. I took a dive into that water full of sharks and all the bad fish you can think of.  All I could see was   cassettes for my boom box.

I got as many as I could. They were wrapped in plastic so the water did not reach the cassette. I  got about 500 cassettes.

I started recording music on these tapes and pretty soon I had one hell of collection of taped cassettes with all types of music. My brother In-law at the time use to try and mix the music with our boom box. He would play one song on his box and I would try and mix in the song playing on my boom box. This took lots of skills. I had it down to a T. " Mix master with cassettes".

Well a few years passed  and it was time to come to the U.S.A. the dream land. I lived with my sister in Brooklyn New York. Got a job with a drug store call Dwain Reed in down town Manhattan. A year later my  brother in-law came to live with my sister. Once he arrived he then became the man of the house ???? Which meant it was time for me to leave. I then moved in with my girlfriend (temporarily) and eventually I joined the U.S. Army, did my three years and got out. I was stationed in Monterey California (Ford Ord). I then move to San Jose California, I  met up with a few  friends from Nicaragua... One of which was a DJ. This guy had his DJ equipment, two turn tables and mixer etc... But to my surprise he would never let me touch his system. He would always say "You can't mix". So I got tired of that mess and set out to build my own system.

I went to the flea market, bought my equipment, then I went to home Depot and bought wood to make the coffin for my turn table and rock for the amps. Once that was done, I started to do little parties, weddings, etc..

I got my first gig in a club called French Quarters in the City of Mountain View. I didn't have a DJ name... so when people would address me they would say "hey DJ". I Did other clubs in the bay area, including Caribbean Gardens in the City of Burlingame. There I had the honor of playing with one of the legends, Mr. Owen Miller  a.k.a " DJ Miller the Killer"  At this point I had came up with the name DJ Electro Disco. I played there for about 5 years. DJ Electro Disco was the name Miller would use for the DJ schedule.

One day I locked at the schedule and noticed my name was shortened to DJ Electro. so I called Mr. Miller and told him that he had made a mistake on my name and he said, " no I did not, your name is too fucking long, so I made it shorter", he then said your new DJ name is." DJ Electro. I have been known by DJ Electro ever since.
